What nutrition support for prediabetes involves
Prediabetes is a warning, not a verdict. It is the stage where what you eat still matters a good deal. That is why nutrition support matters here.
This page sets out what Priyanka looks at, and how a plan gets adjusted. It also says where nutrition stops and medicine begins.
What people usually arrive with
One blood test comes back higher than expected and the report says prediabetes. What happens next usually follows one of these paths:
- A borderline report: fasting glucose or HbA1c above the normal range and below the diabetes threshold
- A family history: a parent or sibling with type 2 diabetes, and a fear of following them
- Weight around the middle: often gained slowly over several years
- Energy dips after meals: heavy and sleepy an hour after eating, hungry again soon after
- No idea where to start: told to cut sugar, with nothing said about the rest of the plate
Cutting sugar alone rarely moves a report. What surrounds the sugar tends to matter more, and that is where the work goes.
What Priyanka looks at first
Nothing gets written until she has taken a history. That covers:
- Your blood work, and what your doctor advised on the back of it
- What a normal day of eating looks like, meal by meal
- How carbohydrate is distributed across the day, not only how much of it there is
- Sleep, stress, and how much walking or training the week actually contains
- Any medication you are on, and any other diagnosis in the picture
From there the plan gets built around protein at each meal, vegetables and fats that suit you. Carbohydrate goes where your body handles it best. Rice and roti are adjusted rather than banned, because a plan you abandon in a fortnight helps nobody.
How the plan gets built and adjusted
Priyanka does not write diet charts. She provides nutrition support that is reviewed and adjusted as your body responds.
Prediabetes gives you something most concerns do not: a number you can re-test. Blood work at intervals your doctor sets tells you whether the plan is working. The plan then changes on the strength of what comes back.
So the plan is a starting point. You report back on hunger, energy, weight and any new readings, and the next version reflects them. Between reviews you can message her on WhatsApp instead of waiting for the next one.
What nutrition support can and cannot do
Priyanka is a qualified nutritionist. She is not a doctor, and she does not diagnose, treat or prescribe.
Nutrition support can change what you eat and how full you feel. Over time it can change how your weight and energy respond. It does not diagnose prediabetes, and it does not replace medical monitoring or anything your doctor has prescribed.
Testing intervals, targets and medication are your doctor’s remit. Priyanka works alongside that and refers you back when something needs medical attention.
How long people stay on support
Some concerns may require a longer period of personalised nutrition support.
One month gives you structure, a plan built around your routine, and a first round of adjustment. Three months is the length many people settle into, because it leaves room for several rounds of review. Six and twelve month engagements suit people who want the reviewing to continue, with no stop date in view.
Priyanka recommends a length after the Discovery Call, not before it.
What it costs
Every engagement starts with a Discovery Call at ₹499, which comes off a three, six or twelve month package. The packages page sets out all four levels and how the fee works.
Food that fits a prediabetes plan
The plans are built around everyday Indian cooking, not diet food. Priyanka has published ten of the meals she uses most, with method and nutrition figures for each.
The low-carb recipe library shows the kind of food a plan is made of.
Protein and fat at breakfast slow how fast a meal leaves the stomach, which steadies what follows. Are eggs safe if you have high cholesterol covers the food most people cut first, and whether they should.
Start with a Discovery Call
The call is a consultation, not a sales pitch. You talk through your report, your history and your routine. You leave with a view on the right next step.
