What nutrition support for gut health involves
Bloating, irregular digestion and reactions to particular foods are worth taking seriously instead of living around. They also respond to being looked at one person at a time.
This page sets out what Priyanka looks at when digestion is the problem, and how a plan gets adjusted. It also says where nutrition stops and medicine begins.
What people usually arrive with
By the time someone writes in about digestion, they have often cut out wheat, or dairy, or both, and are no better for it. What they describe usually falls into one of these:
- Bloating that builds through the day: flat in the morning, uncomfortable by evening
- Digestion that will not settle into a rhythm: days apart, then several in one day
- A suspect food and no proof: wheat or dairy dropped on a hunch, with mixed results
- Heaviness after eating: a normal meal that sits for hours
- A list that keeps shrinking: each reaction removes another food, and few get added back
Cutting foods out is where most people start. It is also where the diet narrows without the problem being named. Reintroducing in order tells you more than removing in bulk.
What Priyanka looks at first
Nothing gets written until she has taken a history. That covers:
- What you eat now, and what you have already removed
- Which symptoms show up, and how long after eating
- Meal timing, meal size, and how fast you eat
- Fibre, fluid and how both sit across the day
- Sleep and stress, because digestion tracks both
- Blood work, medication and any diagnosis your doctor has recorded
The plan works through structure before it works through subtraction. Regular meals, fibre adjusted in one direction at a time, and enough fluid to make the fibre worth adding. Where a food does look like a trigger, it comes out on its own. Then it goes back in on its own, so the result means something.
How the plan gets built and adjusted
Priyanka does not write diet charts. She provides nutrition support that is reviewed and adjusted as your body responds.
Digestive symptoms move day to day, which makes any single day a poor guide. Change one thing at a time and the pattern becomes readable.
So the plan changes in single steps, and you report back on symptoms, timing and what you ate. Priyanka reads what changed and the next version reflects it. Between reviews you can message her on WhatsApp instead of waiting for the next one.
What nutrition support can and cannot do
Priyanka is a qualified nutritionist. She is not a doctor, and she does not diagnose, treat or prescribe.
Nutrition support can change what you eat, in what order, and in what quantity. It cannot diagnose coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, an intolerance or an infection, all of which need a doctor.
Some symptoms need a doctor before they need a nutritionist. Take any of these to one first:
- Blood in the stool
- Weight loss you did not intend
- Pain that wakes you at night
- Difficulty swallowing
- A change in bowel habit that has lasted weeks
Priyanka checks for these on the call, and points you to a doctor where any of them apply.
How long people stay on support
Some concerns may require a longer period of personalised nutrition support.
One month gives you structure, a plan built around your routine, and a first round of adjustment. Three months is the length many people settle into, because it leaves room for several rounds of review. Six and twelve month engagements suit people who want the reviewing to continue.
Priyanka recommends a length after the Discovery Call, not before it.
What it costs
Every engagement starts with a Discovery Call at ₹499, which comes off a three, six or twelve month package. The packages page sets out all four levels and how the fee works.
Food that fits a gut health plan
The plans are built around everyday Indian cooking. Priyanka has published ten of the meals she uses most, with method and nutrition figures for each.
The recipe library shows the kind of food a plan is made of. Which of them suit you depends on what your own digestion tolerates.
Where a plan turns vegetarian, the protein sources change and so does the fibre alongside them. The vegetarian protein page sets those out.
Start with a Discovery Call
The call is a consultation, not a sales pitch. You talk through your symptoms and what you have already cut out. You leave with a view on what is worth testing first. It also tells you what the right next step looks like.
You can also reach Priyanka through the contact page, or read the questions people ask before starting.
